Since the formation of the Club in 1966, many thousands of children and adults have enjoyed high-quality, low cost tuition from its panel of expert teachers. To mark the Club’s 60th year, our Director of Music, Eithne Vallely, was planning a concert featuring many past pupils who went on to distinguished careers in music. Eithne’s tragic death in August left us with no record of whom she had asked, or would have asked, to play.
In assembling this celebratory event we hope that we have not strayed too far from Eithne’s vision. The concert opens with a short performance from our Beginner Singers – or as Eithne always called them, “the baby singers”.
